The Refunds Now cycling team has a long history in Providence cycling, as the Providence Velo Club. In 2006, things looked bleak when the team lost a large portion of its funding. That’s when local cyclist Michael Brier stepped in with his company Refunds Now Tax Services (located on Wickenden St. in Providence) and took over as title sponsor. From there, the core group of racing cyclists has been growing at a healthy pace, helped by several riders from the Brown University team . We have a strong presence in road, mountain and cyclo-cross. For the 2008 season, you’re likely to see us at many of the following races:
Road:
- Tour of the Battenkill
- Bob Beals Stage Race
- Jiminy Peak
- Cox Criterium
- Jamestown Classic
- Blue Hills
- Nigiret Criterium

Cyclo-Cross:
